Industry Relations

The Technical Communication Program maintains relations with industry and government agencies in three areas:

  1. Industry Advisory Board
The Industry Advisory Board (IAB) for the Techical Communication program represents companies in the Madison area and throughout the state. Engineering and technical communication professionals and managers contribute time and expertise at annual meetings and throughout the year.

  2. Internship
The Technical Communication Internship program (EPD 398) works with area companies and government agencies who sponsor internships for TC Certificate students. This support is essential for the success of the Certificate program. If your company or agency is interested in sponsoring a Technical Communication Internship student, please contact the Internship director.

  3. Distance Learning
The Master of Engineering and Professional Practice (MEPP) degree program offers a graduate course in Communicating Technical Information for professional engineers using web based delivery and synchronous online meetings.
